FC Barcelona: a new sporting director arrives

For the past few hours, FC Barcelona has had its new sporting director.

A familiar face returns as Bojan Krkić steps into the club’s organizational chart alongside Deco, according to revelations from Sport. After joining the club’s Sports Commission in 2023, Bojan Krkić has now officially earned his diploma as a sporting director, teaming up with Deco.

Bojan completed the 6th Advanced University Course for football sporting directors, organized by the Spanish Federation in partnership with Rey Juan Carlos University. This ten-session program in Las Rozas provided him with key skills in sports management, communication, law, and new technologies.

He hung up his boots in 2022. Bojan Krkić wasted no time getting involved behind the scenes at his boyhood club, following in the footsteps of his father, a former Barça scout. As part of the team overseeing blaugrana football alongside Joan Laporta, Rafa Yuste, and Deco, he acts as a link between La Masia and the club's emerging first-team talents.
