FC Barcelona: Raphinha makes a major revelation

Having made a flying start to the season with FC Barcelona, Raphinha is currently with the Brazil national team. The Catalan winger has made a revelation.

After attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, Raphinha came very close to leaving FC Barcelona during the summer of 2024. The Brazil international looked back on that period in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung.

"I had practically considered my time at FC Barcelona over. My mind was already elsewhere; I wanted to leave," said the Barça player, who ultimately decided to stay after a discussion with new coach Hans-Dieter Flick. "He told me that he felt I would still be very important to the team. If I hadn't had that conversation with Flick, I wouldn't be here today," he added.

Considering Raphinha's exceptional performances since 2024, FC Barcelona can thank their German coach for convincing him to continue his adventure in Catalonia.
