FC Barcelona: Raphinha's admission about Lamine Yamal

After another outstanding season with FC Barcelona, Raphinha has paid a heartfelt tribute to Lamine Yamal. The Brazilian admits that the rise of the Spanish wonderkid has forced him to rethink his role on the pitch.

With just days to go before the start of the 2026 World Cup, Raphinha is continuing his preparations with Brazil in a calm atmosphere. The Barcelona winger took advantage of an interview with Globo Esporte to reflect on his adaptation to the Catalan club.

The Brazilian international notably admitted that Lamine Yamal's emergence has profoundly changed his positioning on the field.

"When I arrived at Barça, I only wanted to play on the right. But I can't compete with Lamine in that position—he's an extraordinary talent. So I had to adapt to other roles," he revealed.

This statement illustrates just how much of an impact the young Spanish prodigy has made within the Blaugrana squad. After a phenomenal 2025-2026 season with 24 goals and 17 assists in all competitions, Lamine Yamal continues to establish himself as one of the brightest talents in world football, despite his young age.
