FC Barcelona: Rodri sees Lamine Yamal winning the Ballon d'Or

Since Tuesday, Rodri has been officially announced as a new FC Barcelona player. The former Manchester City midfielder will be reunited in Catalonia with many of his teammates from the Spanish national team, including Lamine Yamal.

The Spanish international midfielder Rodri has just clinched the 2026 World Cup. With his move to FC Barcelona, he'll be teaming up again with Lamine Yamal, whom he firmly believes can win the Ballon d'Or in the coming years.

"He approaches football in a collective way. We're here to win trophies, and we don't focus so much on individual performances. Those are simply the result of a job well done. Lamine is making incredible progress, and he has the qualities to go after a Ballon d'Or," the midfielder said during his official unveiling.
