FC Sevilla: it's a no for Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos to play again for FC Sevilla? The club made its decision this Wednesday.

For weeks, Sergio Ramos has been at the center of a takeover project for the Andalusian club, with an offer estimated at 400 million euros. But another, more unexpected scenario has emerged in recent hours. According to information from El Larguero, FC Sevilla was now considering bringing him back as a player, even outside the transfer windows.

During negotiations over the club's sale, Ramos himself reportedly raised the possibility of lacing up his boots again to help his boyhood club, which is struggling mightily this season.

However, the Andalusian club's sporting director, Antonio Cordon, denied any intention of Sevilla bringing back their iconic defender on Wednesday. "Our priority was a striker. We never considered signing a center-back. (...) With the striker we've just brought in (Neal Maupay), we've spent everything. We no longer have the funds to register a player. I wish I had a lot of money to sign many players," he said during a press conference.
