FIFA: FFF president takes aim at Gianni Infantino again

France has once again made its opposition to FIFA president Gianni Infantino known.

This Thursday, French Football Federation president Philippe Diallo stepped up his criticism of FIFA. Philippe Diallo condemned the distribution of revenue from the 2026 World Cup, with only 7% being redistributed to the participating nations, compared with 50% for clubs at the Club World Cup.

Diallo does not understand FIFA

The French official considers this situation incomprehensible. Philippe Diallo is calling for a reform of the redistribution system introduced under Gianni Infantino.

"How is it possible that the nations that took part in a World Cup, which is economically the most profitable in history, can end up with a negative result? (...) Solidarity is not patronage. It is not an electioneering tool. (...) Distributing revenue equally without taking into account sporting merit, the size of the countries or those who contribute to creating wealth is no longer acceptable," said the president of the 3F.
