Fiorentina do not want to part ways with Christ Inao Oulaï
Fiorentina have no intention of parting ways with Christ Inao Oulaï during the next winter transfer window. While Galatasaray are monitoring the Ivorian midfielder’s situation ahead of January, the Florence-based club’s management intends to continue placing its trust in a player signed for a substantial fee to prepare for the future.
Fiorentina maintain their faith
According to La Repubblica, Fiorentina consider Oulaï untouchable at this stage. The club therefore reportedly do not wish to consider any offers that may arrive during the next transfer window. This stance comes as the 20-year-old is still struggling to meet expectations since arriving from Trabzonspor in the summer of 2026.
Nevertheless, the Florence-based management believes that his potential justifies giving him more time to adapt to Serie A. Despite inconsistent performances, the club’s confidence in him has reportedly not been called into question.
A club investment they want to preserve
Galatasaray’s interest therefore does not change Fiorentina’s plans. The Turkish club would like to strengthen its midfield and is closely monitoring the Ivorian’s situation, as he had already played in Turkey before moving to Italy.
In Florence, the objective is instead to find the best tactical formula to make the most of his qualities and allow him to become more consistent. His positioning and his compatibility with Nicolò Fagioli are among the areas being worked on by the coaching staff.
Our analysis
Fiorentina’s stance reflects a desire to protect a significant investment rather than draw definitive conclusions after just a few months. A quick departure could deprive the club of a player whose potential had justified a substantial outlay.
The real challenge will now be sporting: Christ Inao Oulaï will have to improve his adaptation and earn his coach’s confidence on the pitch. For now, the message from Florence is clear: the club want to retain their Ivorian midfielder and continue his development.
