Fisayo Dele-Bashiru: Is Trabzonspor ready to break the bank?

Trabzonspor is no longer hiding its interest in Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, the 24-year-old Nigerian midfielder currently playing for Lazio. The player, who joined Serie A in 2024 for around €5.5 million, could be set for a return to Turkey.

The Turkish club is preparing an official offer, but the price tag could be a stumbling block: Lazio currently values its player at around €15 million, far above his current market value of €6.5 million according to Transfermarkt. That figure might put off some suitors.

Dele-Bashiru, a Nigerian international with 16 caps and 2 goals, has made 8 Serie A appearances this season. Nottingham Forest and Sunderland remain in the race, but Trabzonspor appears determined to go all out to bring their former Süper Lig talent home before his contract expires in 2028.
