The heartbreaking event unfolded during a friendly fixture between Real Sport Clube & Estrela da Amadora. Just 10 minutes after the opening whistle, Castro collapsed on the pitch.
Medical personnel from both clubs rushed to the field immediately, launching desperate resuscitation efforts in an attempt to revive his heart.
Despite their rapid response and subsequent urgent transfer to a nearby hospital, the young footballer tragically breathed his last shortly after arrival.
