Former Kaizer Chiefs talisman Knowledge Musona has scooped the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) Player of the Month award for June.

The 36-year-old attacker scored six goals last month, including two braces against Herentals College and Hardrock, respectively.

He has now taken his tally to eight league goals, entering the race for the 2026 Golden Boot in the Zimbabwean topflight.

Musona has helped Scottland into title defence contention as the team currently sits five points clear at the top of the table with 43 points amassed from 20 outings.

The well-traveled forward returned to his native Zimbabwe in July 2025 after parting ways with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Okhdood.

With Scottland set to visit relegation-threatened Hunters in their next match on Saturday, Musona will be looking to maintain his scoring momentum.

Meanwhile, Musona, alongside Khama Billiat, will reunite with Chiefs when the Zimbabwean champions visit South Africa for the third edition of the Toyota Cup.

The match will be staged at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on 26 July as the Soweto giants will be aiming to win their pre-season tournament for the first time.

Chiefs suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of Tanzanian giants Young Africans in 2024, before losing on penalties to Asante Kotoko of Ghana last year.
