Former Kaizer Chiefs stars maintain red-hot form in Zimbabwe
Former Kaizer Chiefs stars Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat maintained their respective red-hot forms for Scottland FC in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League.
The pair were instrumental as the reigning champions beat newcomers Hardrock FC 2-0 at Rufaro Stadium over the weekend.
Musona pounced on a header from Billiat to break the deadlock in the 25th minute, proving vital at the age of 35.
He completed his brace on the stroke of half time thanks to a rebound after Billiat had rattled the crossbar, taking his tally to seven goals in his last five league games.
Meanwhile, Billiat is the club's top scorer with seven goals and six assists in 15 league outings.
The win saw Scottland go four points clear at the summit of the log standings, having amassed 37 points in 18 games.
Up next for Norman Mapeza's troops is a top-of-the-table clash against fourth-placed Ngezi Platinum Stars on Saturday, 20 June.
On the other hand, Scottland will square off against Chiefs in the third edition of the Toyota Cup at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on 26 July.
