France team: Kylian Mbappé already back in Madrid

While he was the only scorer in Zinédine Zidane’s first match on the France bench against Turkey (0-1), Kylian Mbappé is already back in Madrid this Saturday.

Substituted after picking up an injury shortly after scoring his 67th goal in the France shirt, the Real Madrid player has withdrawn from Les Bleus’ next three Nations League matches and must now undergo tests to determine how long he will be unavailable. “Kylian Mbappé injured his knee when taking his winning shot. He is suffering from a tendon injury and is ruled out for the remainder of the camp. Get well soon, Kylian,” the French Football Federation announced on Friday evening. This came shortly after Zidane’s appearance on TF1.

Already spotted in the Spanish capital, Kylian Mbappé signed a few autographs before quickly getting into a van, as shown in footage captured by El Chiringuito this Saturday. His club, Real Madrid, is holding its breath, as the former Parisian had already suffered a problem with the same left knee at the very beginning of the 2026 calendar year.
