Friendlies: Togo and Guinea play to a draw
It's all over between the Eperviers and the Syli National. The two teams finished level on the scoreboard.
Guinea made their big return in 2026 against Togo this Friday at the Stade Moulay-Al Hassan in Rabat, Morocco. But this comeback nearly turned into a nightmare for the Syli National, who found themselves 2-0 down to Togo, now coached by newly-appointed Patrice Neveu. Two penalties, converted by Kevin Denkey (26') and Idjessi Metsoko (83'), initially allowed the Eperviers to spring a surprise.
However, Paulo Duarte's men managed to snatch a 2-2 equalizer in the final moments thanks to quickfire goals from Mamady Cissé (86'), who scored on his debut, and the ever-reliable Serhou Guirassy, who found the net with a header (90').
Next Tuesday, Guinea will face Benin.
