Friendly: Rwanda and Kenya draw in Kigali (0-0)
No winner at Amahoro Stadium. Rwanda and Kenya played out a goalless 0-0 draw this Monday in an international friendly, at the end of a match played in Kigali.
A draw that suits Rwanda
Few chances, plenty of commitment, but no goals. The Amavubi and the Harambee Stars cancelled each other out. This result allows Rwanda to complete the September-October window unbeaten. Led by Stephen Constantine, the Rwandans remain on a perfect run in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, having recorded two wins in two matchdays: 3-1 against Liberia and 2-1 against Cape Verde. Rwanda sit top of Group K ahead of Mali.
Kenya struggling
On the other hand, Kenya are still unable to get going. Benni McCarthy's men remain without a win. They began the international break with a 1-1 draw against Eritrea, followed by a 0-1 defeat to Guinea in Group D. Both teams will return in November 2026 for the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
