On Saturday, April 5, Ghana's national women's team secured a 1-0 victory against Senegal's Lionesses in a friendly match at the Lat Dior Stadium in Thiès.
This match is part of a nine-day preparation tour in Senegal for the Black Queens, ahead of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations scheduled in Morocco in July 2025. This tour includes two friendly matches against Senegal, with the second set for April 8.
From the kickoff, the Black Queens set the pace, putting the Senegalese defense under pressure. Their persistence paid off when, in the 35th minute, Evelyn Badu found the back of the net, completing a well-orchestrated team move. Despite several attempts by the Lionesses to equalize in the second half, Ghana's defense remained solid.
