Victor Osimhen, on loan from Napoli to Galatasaray, has scored 29 goals this season for the Turkish club, including 21 in the Süper Lig. He is increasingly mentioned on the radar of several top European clubs looking to sign him at the end of this season. Questioned last Friday, April 11, after a match against Samsunspor, he made statements that sounded like a farewell to the Istanbul team.

"Galatasaray will always remain in my heart," said Victor Osimhen.

Galatasaray's vice-president, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, responded to the Nigerian striker's comments, asserting that his words did not necessarily indicate a departure.

"He said that Galatasaray would always be in his heart even if he left in the worst-case scenario, but he did not say he would leave. We want him to stay with us," explained Hatipoğlu.

To succeed in retaining their striker, Galatasaray will have to face pressure from major European clubs and meet Napoli's demands to reach a satisfactory agreement. Chelsea, PSG, Manchester United, and Juventus are closely monitoring the Nigerian striker's situation. Each contender for the 2023 African Ballon d'Or is aware that they need to be financially strong before attempting to secure his services. Napoli has set a release clause of 75 million euros for Victor Osimhen.
