Gaoussou Diakité returns to Salzburg

Official: Gaoussou Diakité returns to Red Bull Salzburg. After a successful season in Switzerland, the 20-year-old Malian forward is back in Austria aiming to secure a spot in the starting lineup.

Since his departure in July 2025, he featured in 38 matches across all competitions, netting 9 goals and providing 6 assists with FC Lausanne-Sport. Impressive numbers for the young Malian international. Before his Swiss adventure, he also had a stint in Austria with Liefering, again on loan.

Back home, Diakité hopes to take his game to the next level thanks to his previous experiences.
