Genoa: Chec Bebel Doumbia loaned to Rapid 1923 until 2027

FC Rapid 1923 has announced on its Instagram account the signing of Chec Bebel Doumbia. The central midfielder from Burkina Faso joins the Romanian club on a season-long loan, running until June 30, 2027.

Chec Bebel Doumbia leaves Genoa CFC for a season. The 18-year-old remains under contract with the Italian side until June 30, 2030. The specifics of the deal have not been disclosed. According to Transfermarkt, he is valued at €400,000.

An Italian journey

Genoa signed him in February 2026 from Altamura. Before that, he came through the youth ranks at SSD Casarano. After joining Genoa, he remained on loan at Altamura, where he featured in 22 Serie C matches.

At the end of that loan, he returned to Genoa. He took part in preseason training with the first team and played in the final friendly match against Leicester City, which ended in a 1-0 victory.

Heading to Romania

For the 2026-2027 season, Chec Bebel Doumbia is on loan once again. He joins Rapid 1923 in search of more playing time. The loan move aims to help him continue his development before a planned return to Genoa.
