Jürgen Klopp has made a difficult start in his new role as Germany coach. Nevertheless, the German manager is not worried.

In his first match, Jürgen Klopp saw his players share the points with the Netherlands (1-1) before losing to Greece (0-1) on Sunday. It is the worst start in history for a Germany coach. The last manager to fail to win one of his first two matches as Germany coach was Helmut Schön, in 1964.

Taking full responsibility for this difficult start, Jürgen Klopp spoke candidly after the match to Sky Sport.

"What did I say to the players? A lot of things. It is part of the process. Absolutely. The team selection and the changes were entirely my responsibility. It was clear that we would not be able to completely unsettle a Greece side sitting deep in defence, especially in the key moments when we may have lacked a bit of luck or come up against an exceptional goalkeeper. I could have accepted not winning by a large margin today, or even not winning at all, but we cannot afford to lose," he said.
