Germany: Ter Stegen sends a message to FC Barcelona

Now tied to Ajax, Marc-André ter Stegen continues to follow FC Barcelona closely.

After the draw between the Netherlands and Germany (1-1) in the Nations League on Thursday evening, Marc-André ter Stegen praised the excellent start to the season made by his former club, FC Barcelona. “They look unstoppable at the moment. That’s what I wish for them. They are working hard with Hansi as coach,” he told Teledeporte. Focused on his adventure at Ajax, Ter Stegen nevertheless said he continues to watch the Catalans’ performances: “From afar, I always wish them the best. I’m very happy for them.”

On the other hand, Marc-André ter Stegen savoured his return to the national team and his first days of work under Jürgen Klopp. “My objective is still to be number one,” Ter Stegen said, aware that he still has to adapt to the demands of his new national team manager.
