Guirassy discusses Salah and Hakimi's Ballon d'Or chances

Guinea international Serhou Guirassy, striker for Borussia Dortmund, shared his thoughts in exclusive interviews regarding the rivalry between Moroccan Achraf Hakimi and Egyptian Mohamed Salah, and their respective chances of clinching the 2025 Ballon d'Or.

Ballon d'Or 2025: Guirassy sees Hakimi as favorite over Salah

According to Guirassy, Hakimi has a strong shot: “Hakimi’s chances are high, just like Mohamed Salah’s, but I believe Hakimi is the closest to lifting the trophy. We’ll know the result on September 22.”

Guirassy’s optimism for the star of the “Lions of the Atlas” is based on his spectacular season with Paris Saint-Germain, where Hakimi played a pivotal role in their historic treble: Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Champions League.

For his part, Mohamed Salah also shone for Liverpool, leading the Reds to their 20th Premier League title and capturing the Golden Boot with 29 goals this season.

Beyond the individual rivalry, Guirassy expressed his admiration for Morocco, a country he visits regularly, highlighting the quality of its sporting infrastructure: “The stadiums here are top notch, and life in Morocco is comfortable and enjoyable.”

The striker for the “Syli National” made these remarks following the Guinea–Algeria friendly at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, which ended in a goalless draw.
