Harry Kane cools interest from FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona made inquiries about Harry Kane as they search for a successor to Robert Lewandowski. But the Catalan club received little encouragement in return.

At 32, the English striker has no intention of leaving Bayern Munich this summer. Despite Barça’s interest, Kane is leaning towards extending his stay with the Bavarian club, where he remains one of the main attacking leaders. His current contract runs until 2027. Bayern would like to extend it to 2029, while the forward himself is hoping to sign on until 2030.

After an exceptional Bundesliga season, scoring 36 goals in 31 matches, Harry Kane has no sporting reason to rush a departure. FC Barcelona will likely have to look elsewhere in their search to replace Lewandowski.
