Harry Kane remains on Barcelona’s radar

Harry Kane remains an option being considered by Barcelona. Having joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham in the summer of 2023, the 33-year-old striker is reaching a turning point in his German adventure, as his contract expires at the end of next season.

Impressive statistics at Bayern

Since joining the Bundesliga, Harry Kane has established himself as one of the Bayern Munich’s leading attacking players. The England international has scored 150 goals and provided 34 assists in 153 matches in all competitions for the Bavarian club. His record with England is also impressive: 85 goals in 121 appearances.

These performances explain why Bayern want to secure his future. Kane had already been approached by Barcelona during the last summer transfer window, when the Catalan club were looking for a solution to prepare for Robert Lewandowski’s succession.

Barcelona await developments in the negotiations

According to talkSPORT, Barça continue to monitor the situation closely. The Catalan club would be ready to consider making a move if Kane and Bayern ultimately fail to extend their partnership.

Barcelona had also explored the possibility of signing Julián Álvarez, but Atlético de Madrid had refused to sell their striker to a direct rival. The club ultimately signed Gabriel Jesus, while the possibility of a move for Erling Haaland is also still being mentioned.
