Ibrahim Mbaye Passes His Physical; Official Announcement Expected Soon at Aston Villa

The saga is coming to an end. Ibrahim Mbaye is set to sign with Aston Villa. Courted by several European giants, the Senegalese international has chosen the Villans.

The 18-year-old Senegalese forward successfully passed his physical on Sunday at the Villans’ training center. This is the final step before signing his contract.

Official Announcement Imminent

According to SkySports and Benjamin Querez of the newspaper Le Parisien, the signing is expected on Monday. PSG and Aston Villa have reached an agreement for 55 million euros. There has been no official announcement yet, but one is expected shortly.

A Bigger Role at Villa

A two-time European champion and two-time French champion with Paris, Mbaye is looking for playing time. With the Lions of Teranga, he already has 15 caps and 4 goals. Courted by several European powerhouses, he chose Unai Emery’s project to take his career to the next level. If the deal goes through, he’ll be reunited with a fellow countryman in Birmingham.
