Inter Milan already thinking about life after Yann Sommer

While Yann Sommer has yet to clarify his future with Inter Milan, the Italian club is already preparing for the Swiss goalkeeper's succession. The name Emiliano Martinez is at the heart of discussions, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Argentine shot-stopper, 33, currently under contract with Aston Villa until 2029, was previously courted by Manchester United and several Saudi clubs before deciding to remain in England. Inter could now entrust him with the number one role after Sommer, who might consider a return to FC Basel or stay with a top-tier European club.

🚨 𝘽𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂: Inter have added Emiliano Martínez to their short-list as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer. 🇦🇷

Contacts have already taken place in the last few hours.

A World Cup winner with Argentina and named the world's best goalkeeper that same year, Martinez brings both experience and prestige, making him the ideal candidate to secure Inter's goal for the coming seasons.
