James Samuel Friday, the Nigerian who just signed in Finland

James Samuel Friday, 18, embodies the future of Nigerian football. Trained at Mavlon FC, a club renowned for spotting young talents, the goalkeeper has just taken a significant step by signing with SJK Seinäjoki II in Finland for two seasons.

SJK has signed a contract with a young Nigerian goalkeeper. Samuel Friday James is a highly promising 18-year-old, 195 cm tall shot-stopper who arrived in Seinäjoki from Mavlon FC in Abuja.

With an impressive physique (1.95 m) and excellent game reading skills, James Samuel Friday has already shone on the international stage. Selected with Nigeria's U20s in March 2024 under Ladan Bosso, he showcased promising qualities.
