Jamie Webber maintains fine form in USA
South African midfielder Jamie Webber maintained his fine form as FC Tulsa beat Monterey Bay FC 2-0 in the USL Championship.
The 28-year-old provided an assist for Lamar Batista, who made it 2-0 in the 51st minute after Logan Dorsey had opened the scoring in the first half.
With the win, Tulsa climbed to third place on the Western conference log standings, having amassed 19 points in 12 league outings.
Having finished top of the second-tier league last year, Webber's team will be eager to repeat the feat as they currently trail log leaders San Antonio FC with two points.
Meanwhile, Webber has taken his tally to two goals and four assists in 17 matches across all competitions this year.
He has assisted in back-to-back games in the wake of his exploits in the last encounter as he closes in on his five goals and six assists he racked up for Tulsa last year.
Webber signed for Tulsa in April 2025 on a record breaking fee from Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United, where he had fallen down the pecking order.
The former SuperSport United midfield maestro has a contract that runs until November 2026 as he penned an extension in December last year.
