Chelsea have added a new name to their list of potential reinforcements. According to The Athletic, the London club is monitoring John Stones, who is a free agent following the end of his contract with Manchester City.

The 32-year-old defender departed the Citizens after a decade filled with numerous triumphs. With Manchester City, he notably won the Champions League in 2023 and claimed six Premier League titles. Now in search of an experienced player, Chelsea see Stones as a profile capable of bringing extra solidity to their squad. The Blues are currently working on several transfer targets to strengthen Xabi Alonso's team.

But the London club is not alone in the race. Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan, Napoli, Bayern Munich, and Olympique de Marseille are also tracking the former Manchester City defender. Despite several injuries in recent seasons, John Stones remains a highly regarded player thanks to his experience at the highest level, with over 250 Premier League appearances under his belt.
