Jordan Lefort chooses to represent Mauritania

A mainstay for Angers this season, having played 26 Ligue 1 matches, Jordan Lefort is set to make his international debut at 32 years old.

Former Young Boys of Bern and Paris FC defender, Jordan Lefort, has chosen to represent Mauritania, a country for which he is eligible through his wife. He has, in fact, been called up by head coach Aritz Lopez for the Mourabitounes’ two friendly matches this month.

Mauritania will face Liberia, Lionel Messi's Argentina at La Bombonera (for the Albiceleste, this fixture replaces the canceled Finalissima), and Palestine.
