Julián Álvarez: Arsenal wants to beat Barça to the signing

According to The Independent, the Gunners believe they have a real shot. Atlético would prefer to sell their player to a foreign club rather than a direct La Liga rival, which reduces Barcelona's chances. For his part, the Argentine international is reportedly open to a Premier League return, having already made his mark at Manchester City.

The main stumbling block remains the price tag. The Madrid club is demanding €150 million to part ways with their striker, while Arsenal is unwilling to go above €120 million. Negotiations are ongoing, with Arsenal hopeful of striking a quick deal to complete one of the biggest signings of their summer.
