Juventus keep an eye on Michael Kayode
Michael Kayode has attracted Juventus’ attention. The 22-year-old Italian right-back, who has been playing for Brentford since January 2025, is reportedly being closely monitored by the Turin club, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Kayode establishes himself at Brentford
Having joined Brentford on loan from Fiorentina in January 2025, Michael Kayode quickly became an important member of the English squad. Last season, the Italian defender played 37 Premier League matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He has also made a strong start to the current campaign, scoring once in the first five league matches.
Kayode’s performances convinced Brentford to commit to him for the long term. The English club recently extended his contract, which now runs until the summer of 2032. This could complicate any potential negotiations with Juventus, especially as the player remains under contract for the very long term.
A former Juventus player
Juventus’ interest also has a particular dimension, as Kayode came through the Turin club’s academy before continuing his career in Italy. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus’ directors are therefore monitoring his situation once again.
The Italian club is also reportedly monitoring Alessandro Romano, a 20-year-old midfielder belonging to AS Roma and currently on loan at Cagliari. Inter are also reportedly interested in the young player.
