Juventus opens the door for Jonathan David's departure

Jonathan David could be on his way out of Juventus this summer. After just one season in the Bianconeri shirt, the Canadian striker no longer appears to be a priority for the Italian club.

Juventus have reportedly set his price tag at €35 million to sanction his departure. It's a substantial sum, but it would still represent a profit for the club, as David arrived in Turin on a free transfer after his contract with Lille expired. The former LOSC forward endured a tough first season in Italy. With only six goals in Serie A and two more in the Champions League, he failed to establish himself as a regular starter.

Tottenham and Olympique Lyonnais are among the clubs reportedly interested, although no concrete negotiations have been confirmed yet. Meanwhile, Jonathan David is making a strong impression at the World Cup with Canada. His hat-trick against Qatar could pique the interest of even more clubs and accelerate his exit from Juventus.
