Kaiser Chiefs will let go of Gaston Sirino at the end of this season!
Press reports have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs have officially decided to part ways with Gaston Sirino after his underwhelming performance with the South African giants.
The Uruguayan midfielder will see his contract with Kaizer Chiefs expire at the end of this month, with no renewal on the table. Simply put, Sirino has failed to replicate the electric form he showed at Mamelodi Sundowns during his time at Amakhosi, and that is the primary reason behind his impending departure.
Behind closed doors at Chiefs, the feeling is that Sirino lacked a team-first attitude, often appearing frustrated rather than putting in the hard work for the side. He has also allegedly feigned injury on occasions when the club needed him most, a behavior that has deeply angered the Chiefs hierarchy, ultimately leading to their decision not to offer him a new deal. Sirino arrived at Chiefs three seasons ago from Sundowns, where he had been a key figure in multiple trophy wins—but that same impact never materialized in Soweto. It remains to be seen where he will land next, as few Betway Premiership clubs can accommodate his wage demands.
