Karim Benzema courts Paul Pogba for Al-Ittihad

The future of Paul Pogba could well be written in Saudi Arabia. While the French midfielder is still hesitating about his next destination, Karim Benzema is trying to play matchmaker.

After serving an 18-month suspension for doping, reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Paul Pogba is now free of any contract following his break with Juventus. He aspires to return to top-level football and rejoin the French national team. His former teammate with Les Bleus has just the right offer for him.

Karim Benzema, currently the star striker for Al-Ittihad, is actively working to persuade his former Les Bleus teammate to join him in Jeddah. According to reports from several media outlets, Benzema has personally contacted Paul Pogba to offer him the chance to revive his career at the Saudi club.

Joining Al-Ittihad would indeed provide Pogba with a familiar environment, alongside compatriots such as N'Golo Kanté and under the management of coach Laurent Blanc. This setup could ease his adaptation and allow him to quickly regain his best form. Moreover, the expanding Saudi league offers attractive financial conditions.
