After repeatedly expressing through various media his desire to work as a coach within the Algerian youth teams, former Algerian international Karim Ziani has achieved his goal by taking charge of one of the young Fennecs teams.

The national technical director, Ali Moucer, announced on Tuesday, April 22, during a press conference held in the conference room of the Nelson Mandela stadium in Algiers, that Karim Ziani, one of the heroes of the legendary victory in Omdurman, is joining the national technical management to supervise a youth team, namely the under-15s.

Moucer specified in his statements that his current priority is to strengthen the technical management with new skills and experiences, following the disappointments encountered by the under-20 and under-17 teams during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Thus, Karim Ziani is among the new recruits to mentor young talents.

The national technical director also announced the appointment of Razik Nedder (38 years old) as the coach of the under-20 team, while Amine Ghimouz (51 years old) has been chosen to take charge of the under-17 team.

It is noteworthy that the former Olympique de Marseille player submitted his CV to the Algerian Football Federation, which allowed him to be selected for his first experience in the field of coaching.
