La Liga: with 365 red cards, Sevilla FC is the most sent-off club in the history of the Spanish league
Sevilla FC recorded another sending-off on Monday, October 12, during the spectacular 3-3 draw against Levante in the eighth round of La Liga. With this latest red card shown to Kike Salas, the Andalusian club's total number of sendings-off in its history in the Spanish league has reached 365, according to BDFutbol's historical tally, updated after the latest matches.
This sending-off adds to those recorded since the start of the 2026-2027 season. Kike Salas had already been sent off on the opening matchday against Rayo Vallecano. Arouna Sangante then received a straight red card against Espanyol on September 6, in the 56th minute. The Spanish disciplinary committee upheld the decision after Sevilla FC's appeal.
Valencia and Atlético de Madrid behind Sevilla
With 365 sendings-off, Sevilla FC retains first place in the all-time standings. Valencia CF is second with 348 red cards, ahead of Atlético de Madrid, third with 329 sendings-off. Espanyol follows with 309, while FC Barcelona has 285.
Sevilla's lead over Valencia therefore stands at 17 sendings-off, while Atlético de Madrid trails by 36 red cards. These figures cover the clubs' entire history in Spain's top division, not a single season.
The latest sending-off against Levante adds to an already substantial disciplinary record for the Andalusian club. It also serves as a reminder that the all-time record reflects the cumulative number of red cards received over the seasons, regardless of sporting results or the number of sendings-off recorded in any particular campaign.
