Lens announces the arrival of Dino Toppmöller
RC Lens has officially announced the arrival of its new head coach. After a historic season that saw them finish second in Ligue 1 and make a memorable run in the Coupe de France, the club from northern France has chosen to entrust its project to Dino Toppmöller.
The German tactician, who previously managed Eintracht Frankfurt, succeeds Pierre Sage, who departed after attracting interest from Premier League clubs. Toppmöller’s new contract runs until June 2028. The Lens management opted for an experienced coach at the European level, someone able to navigate major competitions such as the Champions League and the Europa League.
Recognized for his ability to work with multicultural squads, Toppmöller will be tasked with maintaining Lens’ positive momentum while taking the club to the next level on the European stage. A bold challenge now awaits the new Lens boss, who is expected to build on the club’s recent brilliant results.
