Ligue 1: A challenging season for Ibrahima Wadji

ASSE has made its decision. According to Peuple-Vert, Senegalese forward Ibrahima Wadji will not extend his journey in Forez. With his contract ending in 2025, he is not expected to receive a new offer.

Injuries have marred his time at Saint-Étienne. This season, Ibrahima Wadji has played in only four matches, totaling 101 minutes on the field. His lack of physical consistency worries the management, who prefer to rely on more dependable players. It's a pragmatic choice, driven by the need to maintain a competitive squad throughout the season.

For the 29-year-old striker, the time has come to find a new challenge. His profile as a powerful and combative player could attract several clubs, especially in leagues that are less physically demanding. It remains to be seen where he will bounce back. With his experience and skills, Ibrahima Wadji could still contribute to a team in need of a versatile forward. But at ASSE, the story seems already written: an inevitable separation at the end of the season.
