Olympique de Marseille open their preseason campaign with a deserved win. On Friday at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium, the Phoceans dominated Yamoussoukro FC with a convincing 3-0 victory.

The Blue side from Yamoussoukro held on during the first half, despite conceding the opening goal in the 14th minute courtesy of Neal Maupay.

The difference became clear at the start of the second half, as substitute Ange Lago doubled the lead. Fares Mombagna then sealed the result with a third goal, wrapping up the match at 3-0.

This fixture is part of Olympique de Marseille's summer tour and their partnership with Sublime Côte d’Ivoire. Ivory Coast continues its sports diplomacy by hosting a club from the French top flight.
