Lille: Mohamed Bayo packs his bags
On the verge of leaving Lille, Mohamed Bayo is now expected to join Samsunspor in Turkey.
In recent days, Olivier Létang made his intentions clear after the French transfer window closed. "Four players are likely to move, including Mohamed Bayo, on a permanent transfer," the Lille president stated. He was focusing on countries where the transfer market is still active, such as Turkey.
And that's precisely where the Guinean striker will be heading, having already spent last season on loan at Gaziantep, where he scored 15 league goals. This time, the Guinean international is expected to join Samsunspor.

An agreement was even reached this morning between the two clubs, according to RMC Sport. Mohamed Bayo will therefore leave LOSC with one year remaining on his contract. Having arrived for €14 million from Clermont in the summer of 2022, he never managed to establish himself and went on a series of successive loans to Le Havre, Royal Antwerp, and then Gaziantep.
