Linafoot play-offs: TP Mazembe just 90 minutes from the title

With the Cheetahs absent from the World Cup, it seems the domestic league told the whole story on June 17. In the thirteenth round, TP Mazembe steamrolled Don Bosco 3-0 to reclaim top spot with just one match left to play.

TP Mazembe returned to the summit of the Linafoot play-offs with their 3-0 win over Don Bosco, putting the Ravens atop the standings with 27 points, just one ahead of the Congolese Eagles who stumbled against Maniema Union. Kindu’s club snatched a draw with LAC and secured an African ticket, finishing third with 23 points at the end of the thirteenth round of the Linafoot play-offs.

The Ravens now stand just 90 minutes away from glory. In the final round, they’ll face Celeste FC, a side that held Lupopo to a draw and currently sits at the bottom of the table.

The Congolese Eagles, meanwhile, will take on CS Don Bosco.
