After drawing with Fulham, Liverpool needed to take three points to stay in touch with the top of the table. The Reds eventually found the solution thanks to Alexander Isak, who made the difference in the second half.

Isak breaks the deadlock after the break

The first half remained goalless despite several chances for both sides. Liverpool had to wait until the 57th minute to make the difference. Well positioned in the box, Alexander Isak appeared at the right moment and scored the 1-0 goal. The Swedish striker thus netted his fourth Premier League goal of the season.

Bournemouth tried to get back into the match, but Liverpool held on to their advantage until the end. The Reds therefore left the Vitality Stadium with all three points. This victory lifts Liverpool up to sixth place in the Premier League. Isak, meanwhile, further underlined his attacking importance with another decisive goal.
