Liverpool: Mohamed Salah sets a new record

On Tuesday night, Mohamed Salah added another milestone to his storied Liverpool career. Starting against Galatasaray in the Champions League, he played his 81st match in the competition for the Reds, becoming the player with the most appearances for the club in the Champions League.

Unfortunately for Salah and Liverpool, the evening ended in a 1-0 defeat to the Turkish side. Until now, Salah had shared this record with Jamie Carragher, but he now stands alone at the top, despite the setback. Since his arrival at Liverpool in the summer of 2017, the Egyptian has continued to write history for the club, even during challenging moments.
