Liverpool suffer a major blow in their bid to sign Endrick!
Newspaper reports revealed that Liverpool failed to secure the services of the Brazilian player despite the great pressure from Liverpool to convince his entourage to move to Anfield.
Brazilian football expert Tim Vickery has offered his perspective on the forward's speculated summer switch to Anfield. With Kylian Mbappe entrenched as the undisputed starter at Real Madrid, and Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo expected to occupy the other attacking berths alongside the Frenchman, Endrick could find regular game time difficult to secure this coming season.
Manchester United were interested in signing Endrick
The Brazilian boy went on loan last season to Lyon, especially in the middle of last season where he felt his best days with the French giant, scoring eight goals and creating the same. Vickery believes Liverpool are unlikely to succeed, as their reported offer is lower than the initial fee Madrid paid Palmeiras in December 2022. The Brazilian joined Madrid in 2024 for a deal worth up to £60 million, having just turned 18. Yet the Merseyside club are said to be bidding around £55 million—a figure Vickery thinks will not get very far.
Endrick sees himself as part of Mourinho's plans
The player has made his stance unequivocally clear: he has no intention of seeking an exit this summer. Instead, he is determined to remain at the club and battle for his spot within Jose Mourinho's starting eleven. Despite speculation linking him with a move away, the player believes he can prove his worth to the Portuguese manager and is prepared to work tirelessly in training to earn his place. Departure, for now, is simply not on his agenda.
