FC Barcelona is closely monitoring the progress of Lucas Herrington, the Australian centre-back currently playing for the Colorado Rapids. According to several sources, the Catalan club is among the teams keeping a close eye on this rising talent.

After making his mark in Australia with Brisbane Roar, the 18-year-old joined MLS last winter and immediately established himself as a starter. His defensive solidity and consistency quickly earned him the trust of his coach. In 15 appearances this season, Herrington has already made an impact with a goal and an assist.

Under contract with Colorado Rapids until 2029, with an option to extend, his immediate future appears secure. However, the interest from prestigious European clubs such as FC Barcelona only underscores his growing potential.
