Lucas Ribeiro is still facing some problems with the FIFA court!
Lucas Ribeiro's proposed switch to Libyan club Al-Ittihad has now encountered an obstacle.
His earlier transfer to Spanish outfit Cultural Leonesa was already mired in controversy, since Mamelodi Sundowns never authorized his move, leaving the case pending at Fifa.
The player walked out on the Caf Champions League holders at the start of last season by terminating his own contract, and Sundowns subsequently reported the matter to Fifa.
So far, Fifa has not issued any ruling on the player, who is said to have reached a two-year agreement in principle with his former boss Rulani Mokwena, now leading the Libyan giants.
Ribeiro is currently a free agent after his Spanish Segunda side, Cultural Leonesa, suffered relegation to the third division.
As a result, his move to the North African heavyweights now depends on receiving clearance from the Fifa tribunal regarding the dispute between him and Sundowns.
