Álvaro Morata set for a return to Spain?

Álvaro Morata’s future could once again be written in Spain. According to Sky Italia, Deportivo La Coruña is interested in the 33-year-old striker and is considering signing him this summer.

Morata arrived at Como on loan in 2025 before making a permanent move for €12 million, with a contract running until 2029. However, a departure as early as this transfer window is now being considered. The former captain of the Spanish national team struggled to make his mark in Serie A.

In 26 league matches last season, he failed to score a single goal—a statistic that weakened his position at the Italian club. Also left out of the Spanish national team, Morata could look to revive his career with a return to his homeland if Deportivo’s interest materializes.
