Madiou Keita close to a return to Sweden

One year after leaving Sweden, Madiou Keita is on the verge of making his comeback. According to Expressen, the 21-year-old centre-back is expected to sign with Västerås SK in the near future.

Negotiations have reportedly already resulted in an agreement between all parties. Only the medical examination remains before the transfer becomes official. Keita previously played for Örgryte IS on loan from AJ Auxerre, making a strong impression during his stint in the Superettan. He featured in nine matches and provided two assists.

Since his move to RWDM Brussels, the Guinean has played in Belgium’s second division, appearing in 14 matches last season. Västerås SK now hopes to finalize the deal quickly to bolster their defense with a player already familiar with the demands of Swedish football.
