Mali: Anthony Da Silva displays confidence as he takes the helm

Appointed in June 2026, Anthony Da Silva officially assumed his role on July 6th as head coach of the Malian national team. From his very first statement, the Franco-Portuguese manager made his strong determination clear.

"I am ready and determined to take on this new challenge. I am confident, very confident. If I weren't confident, I wouldn't be here. We will work with all our strength and honesty to win trophies. That is why I am here."

A bold statement that sets the tone. Qualifying Mali for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup are Anthony Da Silva's main targets.
He was appointed as the successor to Tom Saintfiet, with Da Silva's contract running until 2029.
