Manchester City are interested in signing Argentine goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli!
According to sources speaking to ESPN, Manchester City are actively putting together a plan to bring in Marseille goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli, with the move intended to fill the gap that will be left by James Trafford's expected departure.
The young shot-stopper is on the verge of completing a £40 million ($53m) switch to Leeds United, and once that deal is finalized, the Premier League champions have set their sights on the Argentine veteran as the ideal candidate to step in between the posts at the Etihad Stadium.
Trafford's Frustration Fuels Exit
Trafford's decision to seek an exit comes after a campaign filled with frustration and limited opportunities. Having returned to City from Burnley last summer, the 23-year-old found himself stuck behind Gianluigi Donnarumma in the pecking order and managed only four league appearances throughout the entire season.
Now, he is eager to find a club where regular first-team football is within reach, and Leeds United appear ready to offer him that chance.
